Brookes Dairy - Wenallt Cheese

Brookes Dairy's award winning Blue Wenallt cheese is named after the Little and Great Wenallt Woods that shade the Angiddy river as it runs through their family farm on its way to join the River Wye near Tintern Abbey. Wenallt translates from Welsh to White Wooded Slope, its fitting that we name our blue cheese 'Blue Wenallt' as in the spring this gorgeous woodland changes colour as it becomes carpeted with bluebells as far as the eye can see.
